Hôtel Garance

Location was excellent. The hotel was easy to access by train, bus, and taxi when needed. The bed were excellent and very comfortable. The manager and staff were excellent and helpful. The bathroom was very clean and a good size for our needs. This is not a small bouitque and simple hotel, but when we came back our rooms after a long day of touring our room clean and our beds were so so so comfortable. We had a balcony which was really a nice addition and the street below was quiet at night. Did not hear others in rooms next to us which was great too. The room was also a good size for three of us.

The staff on the front desk (round glasses and worker jacketed gentleman) was very attentive, helpful and knowledgeable. Recommending restaurants, attractions and travel arrangements. They even let us check in early. Breakfast staff also very helpful and polite. The room was well sized and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The breakfast was continental and well stocked throughout our stay. The location of this hotel was amazing and perfectly placed on the metro line from gobelins or place de italie.

Jean Yves has been the most gracious host during our stay at the Garance Hotel; us Italians we don’t usually find warm welcomes from French people, but Jean Yves is the exception! He likes Italian (he studied it and likes to speak it) and Italians, he is most welcoming, patient, attentive to the guest’s needs, he makes your stay pleasant and easygoing. The rooms are very spacious, furnished with all amenities, we had a triple, the bathroom had a bathtub and was also very comfortable. We had the most exquisite view on Avenue des Gobelins from our 4th floor room. A shout out to Edrice who was our night porter and is most friendly and kind. Over all I strongly recommend staying at the Garance Hotel as it is also strategically positioned and is served by both Metro and buses which take you directly downtown.

The receptionist, all of them were super friendly and helped me a lot! Clean room, everyday was cleaned. I am not sure about the standard of room size but I would say it was the standard size for this City but small for other cities. Behind the huge bed was a small table to leave stuff there and enough space to place the luggage. Bed was super comfortable and huge for one person! It just takes 2 minutes to the metro which saved me a lot during some rainy days :)

Room was good and shower worked well/good pressure and temp regulation. Air con most welcome as the temperature was 33 daytime and 21 night time outside. Great location for exploring on foot.# and close to a Metro Station.
